Sara Hagay was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1939. Her academic backround includes history of art and philosophy but she is considered as an instinctive painter.
Her early simbolistic work are suffused with themes of war and humanity. Her later works focus on intimate aspects of daily life - Cafe in Nahlat Binyamin, cats on a Tel Aviv windowsill - as well as Jewish themes.
Sara Hagay oil painting have been exhibited in the Ramat Gan Museum, ZOA House and Bnai Brit building in tel Aviv and are to be found in private collections in Israel and abroad.
